Craft Tours
Craft Tours
Our craft tours are education led experiences designed to help participants understand traditional Indian crafts through direct engagement with artisans and production spaces. These are curated learning journeys rather than sightseeing, bringing together craft, culture, and context.
Designed in collaboration with artisan clusters such as Channapatna, the tours offer exposure to materials, tools, and production processes through observation, interaction, and dialogue. Participants gain insight into sustainability, design thinking, and the livelihoods behind handmade products.
Craft Process
Participants visit a working Channapatna toy making unit and observe each stage of production, from wood turning and lac application to colouring and finishing, gaining a clear understanding of handcrafted processes.
Who It’s For
Ideal for schools, universities, design institutions, corporate teams, educators, NGOs, and learning communities seeking meaningful, context rich learning grounded in culture and sustainability.
Community Impact
Craft tours generate additional income for artisans, support intergenerational knowledge transfer, and strengthen long term appreciation for handmade crafts by connecting participants with people behind the work.
